Eye Heart You...I really really do
In time for Valentines day are the Eye Heart Bunnies my newest sculpt expansion of my Bedtime Bunnies series. Here to show undivided love & affection the bunnies signature "heart-shaped eyes" tell all. Their moto, Love with all your might.
They will be available here thursday Feb 5th 8pm EST and will come in 3 varieties: one baby blue one pink with painted highlights and one blank pink. Each figure is handmade and will be priced at $25 each.

Inspired by customer reactions to test shots and my visit to the Hampton beaches one weekend I decide to create
the teal series of bedtime bunnies. So when you look up teal on the intern a whole range of colors show up , there doesn't seem to be one definitive "teal' color. So this weekend starts the awesome Uglycon show at Giantrobot store/gallery in LA ~. I had the wonderful opportunity to make an original sculpt inspired by the designs of David Horvaths Ice-Bat & Giantrobots mascot BigBoss Robot. I call him Boss-Bat
Handcast in resin, painted and fitted on on wooden base it will be available at the show in Giantrobot starting June 21st! If you are in the LA area please stop by and check out all the grooviness~

Hello everyone , hope you had an amazing weekend!
This week we will be releasing some new Bedtime Bunnies, this time Orange with Grey slippers!
Some at the studios wondered if this colorwave variation was influenced by my recent binge-watching of "Orange is the New Black" season 2, well i guess it is possible...not a bad connection to be made for sure~( I love that show~ ).
3inch bunnies will be $20 each while the smaller 2.5inch variety will be $12 each.
We will also have a restock on our shop standard of Pinks and Whites!

Tuesday April 15th the nyc gallery toystore myplasticheart will release their colorwave for my Bedtime Bunnies. The assortment includes a color variation of light violets, chic yellows, light blues all with contrasting bunnie-slippers. The gallery-store has always been very supportive of my pieces so it was a pleasure to give them such a varied "easter" batch. Writing this post in the dead of night, excited and sleepless. It's that hour my Bedtime Bunnies rise and begin their rem state playing.
I was inspired in the last months by illustrated artwork by artists who had themes of sleep, animals and fairies. I wanted to share that feeling in a new sculpt and i feel i have

The largest, chunkiest figure I have made to date at 3 inches high and 1& 3/4 wide this fella has some weight to it.
Due to be released nextweek I am excited for everyone to tell me their thoughts on him.

So the 17th Annual Gowanus Open Studios come to an end. Here at the Cortes Studio didn't know what to expect so we just tried not to think too much and just let things happen. The weekend was packed with visitors ( art enthusiasts , fellow artists and neighborhood friendlies ) . It was really a lot of fun, on Sunday before it all began me and my studio-mates took time and went to check out the other artists spaces in the building.
